A tribute to their unwavering devotion, twenty-five committed individuals came together to register the Association, motivated by the lack of early intervention services.
In order to guarantee excellent services, the Association worked with specialists from the Netherlands to examine Oman's disability services and offer recommendations for the future.
The Ministry of Social Development officially declared the Association. Several female volunteers were trained in special education at the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services to enable them to provide appropriate services to children. The Association officially began providing services to children with disabilities in a rented villa.
We continued to grow in 2002 by adding physical therapy services to our portfolio and hiring specialists in several fields, proving our dedication to the field.
The Association trained 30 female volunteers in the Portage program to ensure that services reach children in their homes.
In order to construct a headquarters for the Association that is committed to offering cutting-edge services and caring for children with disabilities, the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said kindly provided land and money.
The Association trained 30 female volunteers in the Special education Nizwa program to ensure that services reach children in their homes. Sponsored by LNG , bank Muscat
The Association then trained 74 volunteers in the Nizwa University special education diploma program using funds from corporations.
A distinguished new building was constructed to address the need for a permanent headquarters and meet the growing demand for services for children with disabilities. Thanks to generous donations from private-sector companies, individuals, and the community, the project was completed in 2023.
The new headquarters of the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disability was proudly inaugurated on 6 May 2024 under the auspicious reign of His Majesty Sayyid Haitham bin Taimur Al Said. The ceremony hold under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, and Her Excellency Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development.
