Responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering evidence-based occupational therapy services for children with developmental delays and disabilities. The role focuses on enhancing each child's independence, participation in daily activities, sensory processing, fine and gross motor development, self-care skills, and school readiness, while working collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary team to support every child's overall development and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on each child's needs.
- Provide one-to-one and group therapy sessions.
- Address sensory integration, fine motor skills, visual-motor coordination, and activities of daily living (ADL).
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate clinical records
- Prepare therapy reports and recommendations
- Collaborate with special educators, speech therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and families
- Train and guide parents on home-based intervention strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions
- Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and safety standards
- Support inclusion and participation of children in educational and community settings
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
- Minimum 1 years of experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Experience in conducting assessments and developing intervention plans
Nice to have
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Certification in Sensory Integration (SI).
- Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) interventions.r related field.
- Training in Assistive Technology and Adaptive Equipment.
- Knowledge of standardized assessment tools.
- Experience with feeding therapy and oral-motor interventions.
- Ability to develop home programs and caregiver training materials.
- Experience using electronic medical records and data collection systems.
- Ability to conduct workshops and awareness sessions for families and the community.
